Where to live

We are so fortunate to live in a place others want to visit, the Cairngorms National Park has so much to offer with jaw-dropping scenery, friendly folks with a sense of community, pretty towns and villages, in and outdoor sporting amenities a plenty, low crime and beautiful countryside.

Of course, all of this comes at a price and although the Cairngorms is the biggest of the UK’s National Parks it has the smallest number of residents (c17,000 at the last count), combined with limited new housing construction coupled with high demand for properties in the area, it’s easy to understand why houses for sale are in high demand and attracting a premium over valuation.

Wherever your search within the Cairngorms National Park takes you, you can be sure of plenty of competition to live in such a unique environment, but if you are determined enough there are still some deals to be had among with the higher-priced properties. The Scottish Government also offers several initiatives to help first-time buyers and those moving home which can be useful, see them here – https://www.gov.scot/policies/homeowners/.

Luckily for you, there are some great estate agents who can help and provide advice on the different towns and villages within your dream location.

For expert advice on buying a house in the Cairngorms National Park, the manager at Masson Cairns Solicitors & Estate Agency in Grantown High Street, Scott Anderson, would be delighted to have a chat about your requirements and share some local knowledge. Pop in or contact him on 01479 874800 or https://www.massoncairns.com/.
