Dulaig Park Renovation Group

The project was set up by members of the community in 2019 to renovate and revitalise Dulaig Park, which lies in the heart of the town. The aim is to develop the space as a stimulating environment for all generations.

The first phase will establish a new play area within the park, with all new equipment for under 12s. The committee aims to raise at least £60,000 towards play equipment. Among the funders who have already pledged significant sums towards the renovation include:

  • Berry Burn Community Fund – £19,000
  • National Lottery, Community Fund – £6075
  • Cairngorms Green Recovery Fund – £5,240
  • Scotland Loves Local – £5,000
  • Highland Council’s Ward Discretionary Fund – £3,000

The community has also raised thousands of pounds towards the target.

Kompan has been selected as the play equipment provider and it is now hoped that work on the play area could start towards the end of 2021.

The second phase will carry out improvements to the playing field area, including levelling and reseeding the grass, and installing new goals.
